What Is ROM-AID?
Our team of coaches, athletes and specialists set out to create a tool that would aid athletes by not only helping them improve their range of motion (ROM), move better and more efficiently, but ultimately help them train more consistently and increase their training longevity.
We spent extensive time researching and testing hundreds of different combinations of materials to develop our inserts. Our goal was to develop the perfect mixture that is tough and ridged enough to withstand the abuse of heavy lifting sessions but at the same time comfortable and forgiving enough to allow athletes to perform intense Metcon’s (Metabolic Conditioning) or HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts without discomfort.
Our inserts were developed by coaches and athletes for athletes and coaches. We designed and developed them specifically for the strength and functional fitness athlete. They can be placed in any training shoe and allows the user to get the similar feel and benefits of a weightlifting shoe, while keeping the comfort and usefulness of their everyday training shoe.
The purpose of our inserts is to aid the user by elevating their heel causing increased plantar flexion of the foot, much like a weightlifting shoe is designed to do. This aids the athlete by improving dorsiflexion, allowing them to squat through a fuller range of motion. Which has been shown to increase muscle activation, strength, size and power. Along with that the rigidity of our design gives the athlete increased stability and balance of the foot.
With decreased pronation and supination of the foot athletes can produce more power and be more efficient. Improved weight distribution across the feet results in a better mechanical advantage while exercising. In addition, our inserts have been tried, tested and proven to help athletes keep a better torso angle while squatting. This is important because it allows the athlete to maintain better balance while lifting and squatting.
With improved torso position athletes can expect to keep whatever object they’re lifting over the middle portion of their foot, creating a better line of action, resulting in improved efficiency and power. Whether you struggle with mobility or not, we developed our inserts to improve all aspects of squatting, giving you the advantage your body has been searching for.
